Social media: far more than a fad

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

The world of communications had changed rather a lot of late. If you’re not Liking, Poking, Trending or Tweeting, you’re out of the loop, both personally and professionally.

Though we won’t pretend that you haven’t also fantasised about throwing your mobile into the nearest watery receptacle (e.g. the end scene of ‘The Devil Wears Prada’), you’ve probably realised by now the need to be in the social media mix if you want to keep your customers properly updated. Social media really helps to deliver your promotional messages (otherwise it’s a bit like writing a letter without sending it).

We’ve helped a lot of our clients to start and maintain Twitter or Facebook pages, as well as blogs (that’s opening free accounts,  creating images  and writing copy at regular intervals), as well as seen website visitor stats boosted (it does wonders for your SEO). Still sceptical? It really isn’t just about telling people that your toast was burnt this morning (though the web is brimful with food blogs), it’s a rather handy way of getting ‘out there’ at very little cost while telling your customers about special offers, news updates or anything that they may find interesting. The result? A solid brand, an ongoing relationship with your customers and boosted sales at very little cost. We Like.
